Aquavit Espresso

AQUAVIT ESPRESSO

  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml. aquavit

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. coffee liqueur

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. espresso

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. simple syrup

  • 2 dashes cocoa bitters

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / shake with ice until chilled / fine strain into coupe or Nick and Nora / garnish with three coffee beans

Don't have espresso? Use substitute cold brew concentrate.

ABOUT
This espresso martini riff comes from Leandro DiMonriva (@theeducatedbarfly). Aquavit is a Scandinavian spirit distilled from potatoes or grain, which is then redistilled with a number of flavors, but most importantly caraway or dill. Originally, it was praised for its apparent medicinal properties in the 1500s. Cheers y’all!
