Chirulín

CHIRULÍN

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml. pisco

  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml. fresh grapefruit juice

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. cinnamon syrup

  • ¼ oz. / 7.5 ml. fresh lime juice

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / add ice and shake until chilled / strain into a glass over fresh ice / garnish with grapefruit twist

ABOUT
This is a Peruvian classic, built on the bright, floral notes of pisco and the crisp bite of grapefruit or Pomelo. Originally crafted in 1950s Lima, it was a favorite among bohemian artists and intellectuals. These are Peruvian bartender Tatiana Flores updated specs, adding lime juice for extra brightness.
