ELDER FASHION

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml. gin (Plymouth)

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. elderflower liqueur

  • 2 dashes orange bitters

  • grapefruit peel oil

METHOD
add all ingredients to mixing glass / stir with ice until chilled / strain into a glass over a BFC / express grapefruit peel oil over the surface / garnish with grapefruit twist

ABOUT
This old fashioned riff was created in 2007 by Phil Ward at Death & Company. Ward coined the term, “Mr. Potato Head,” for the method of swapping an ingredient or two out from a known cocktail to reimagine it. Here, a citrusy gin is added in place of whiskey, and for sweetness, a floral liqueur is used in place of demerara syrup. Cheers y’all!
