1½ oz. / 45 ml. Amburana cachaça
¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. tawny port
½ oz. / 15 ml. Cointreau
¼ oz. / 7.5 ml. Cynar
orange peel oil
METHOD
add all ingredients to mixing glass / stir with ice until chilled / strain into a coupe or Nick and Nora / express orange peel oil over surface / garnish orange twist
ABOUT
This cocktail was created in 2022 by Sebastien Marrow at Dutch Kills (New York). He uses an aged Brazilian spirit that adds cinnamon and vanilla notes. The port brings rich, jammy depth, Cynar adds a bitter edge, and Cointreau brightens it up. This one is smooth, layered, and a little mysterious, like that unanswered text. Cheers y’all!
