ART OF CHOKE

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. white Jamaican rum

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. Cynar

  • ¼ oz. / 7.5 ml. Green Chartreuse

  • ¼ oz. / 7.5 ml. fresh lime juice

  • ¼ oz. / 7.5 ml. simple syrup

  • Stirred with mint

METHOD
add all ingredients to mixing glass (including mint) / stir with ice until chilled / strain into rocks glass over BFC / garnish with fresh mint bouquet after slapping to express oils

ABOUT
This drink was created by Kyle Davidson in 2008 when given a “Dealer’s Choice” ticket while bartending. It read, “a bitter drink with rum.” Davidson liked how the Chartreuse and Cynar fight for the last word. The mint and lime add some needed freshness. A great template for riffs. Cheers y’all!
