ARTICHOKE HOLD

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. overproof Jamaican rum

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. Cynar

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. elderflower liqueur

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. fresh lime juice

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. orgeat

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / add a small amount of crushed ice and whip shake / dump into glass / top with crushed or pebble ice / garnish with mint bouquet after slapping it to express oils

This modern classic cocktail was created by Jeremy Oertel for Donna Bar (New York City). I love how he blends distinct flavors here: bitterness, floral notes, brightness, and esters. The flavors are bold, but come together really smoothly, giving it an earthy depth and a refreshing finish. Cheers y’all!
