CE SOIR
2 oz. / 60 ml. cognac
¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. Cynar
½ oz. / 15 ml. Yellow Chartreuse
1 dash Angostura bitters
1 dash orange bitters
lemon peel oil
METHOD
add all ingredients to mixing glass / stir with ice until chilled / strain into a coupe or Nick and Nora / express lemon peel over surface / garnish with lemon twist (optional)

Nicole Lebedevitch created this now modern classic in 2010 while at The Hawthorne (Boston). I read that she came up with this for a regular that loved Manhattans, but also appreciated some bitterness. This stirred drink was applauded by Robert Simonson (@robertosimonson) as being one of his top cocktails in 2017. Cheers y’all!
