DISGRUNTLED BEE

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. gin

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. Amaro Nonino

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. fresh lemon juice

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. honey syrup

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / shake with ice until chilled / fine strain into coupe or Nick and Nora / garnish with lemon twist

HONEY SYRUP
I make mine by mixing 3 parts honey to 1 part water. Heat on low until mixed and bottle. On occasion I’ll do 2 parts honey to 1 part water. I advise against 1:1 as it will be too dilute

This cocktail was created by Carl Busch (@carl.busch) in 2022. It is a simple twist on a Bee’s Knees, where Busch splits gin with the beautiful Amaro Nonino. This alteration adds an extra layer of complexity, a bit of bitterness, and richness to the classic. Looking for a cocktail besides a Paper Plane for that amaro, this is it. Cheers y’all!
