Spanish Margarita

SPANISH MARGARITA

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml. tequila blanco

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. dry curaçao

  • ¼ oz. / 7.5 ml. Licor 43

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. fresh lime juice

  • ¼ oz. / 7.5 ml. simple syrup

  • 7 drops habanero shrub + 5 drops to garnish (I use Bittermens)

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / add ice and shake until chilled / strain into glass over fresh ice / garnish with five drops of habanero shrub in center and lime wheel

ABOUT
This drink was created in 2007 by Toby Maloney, author of, “The Bartender’s Manifesto.” This is a spicy margarita that took a trip to Spain. Licor 43 is a yellow vanilla Spanish liqueur made with 43 different Mediterranean herbs. Cheers y’all!
