EDGE OF TOMORROW

  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml. vodka

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. dry vermouth

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. fresh lemon juice

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. cinnamon syrup

  • ¾ tsp. / 3.7 ml. Branca Menta*

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / add ice and shake until chilled / strain into a glass over a BFC / garnish with a mint bouquet after slapping to express the oils

*Branca Menta is a sweeter, mint-forward variation of Fernet Branca, with a smoother, less bitter profile. If you only have Fernet Branca, try dialing it back slightly

This cocktail was created in 2021 by Alex Barbatsis at The Whistler (Chicago, IL). A bright, spiced take on a sour that walks the line between sharp and smooth. Cinnamon brings the heat, vermouth keeps it crisp. There’s just a hint of Branca Menta, but it’s what brings everything together. Cheers y’all!
