EXPENSE ACCOUNT
½ oz. / 15 ml. aged rum
½ oz. / 15 ml. blackstrap rum
½ oz. / 15 ml. Calvados
½ oz. / 15 ml. Bénédictine
1 barspoon maple syrup
2 dashes orange bitters
absinthe rinse
METHOD
add all ingredients to mixing glass / stir with ice until chilled / strain into a coupe or Nick and Nora rinsed with absinthe / express orange peel oil over surface / garnish with orange twist
ABOUT
This drink was created in 2015 by Peter Hill (@miesvanderdro). The drink and its name was inspired by a trip he took to Toronto (which he says he had no expense account). This equal parts sipper has molasses, apple, and spices. Absinthe and orange oil invite you to take a sip. Cheers y’all!
