TL Carajillo

TL CARAJILLO

  • 1¼ oz. / 37.5 ml. Licor 43

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. coffee liqueur

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. blended scotch whisky

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. cold brew concentrate

  • pinch of salt

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / shake with ice until chilled / fine strain into coupe or Nick and Nora / garnish with three coffee beans (optional)

ABOUT
This revamp of the classic Carajillo is by Nicholas Torres of True Laurel (San Francisco, CA). In this version, Torres adds scotch, which brings a slight smokiness that plays well with the Spanish spiced vanilla liqueur (Licor 43). The scotch does not dominate, so don’t be afraid to try this!
