Pera De Mi Ojo

PERA DE MI OJO

  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml. tequila reposado

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. spiced pear brandy

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. Licor 43

  • ¼ oz. / 7.5 ml. mezcal

  • 1 tsp. / 5 ml. allspice dram

  • orange peel oil

METHOD
add all ingredients to mixing glass / stir with ice until chilled / strain into a glass over a BFC or clear ice sphere / express orange peel oil over surface / garnish with whole star anise

ABOUT
This cocktail was created by Anu Shukla (@anushu802), a full-time physician and part-time cocktail enthusiast, as part of an entry for a Christmas tequila competition. His goal was to create a stirred cocktail that embodied the holiday season, which was achieved through pear, vanilla (Licor 43), and mezcal for some earthiness. Cheers y’all!
