Plátano De Mi Ojo
PLÁTANO DE MI OJO
1½ oz. / 45 ml. tequila reposado
½ oz. / 15 ml. mezcal
½ oz. / 15 ml. banana liqueur
¼ oz. / 7.5 ml. Licor 43
¼ oz. / 7.5 ml. coffee liqueur
orange peel oil
METHOD
add all ingredients to mixing glass / stir with ice until chilled / strain into a glass over a BFC or clear ice sphere / express orange peel oil over surface / garnish with orange twist
ABOUT
This is my riff on the cocktail I posted yesterday by Anu Shukla (Pera De Mi Ojo). Here, I swap in banana for the pear, thus giving rise to the name, “Banana of my eye,” in Spanish. Rather than allspice, I used coffee liqueur, making this reminiscent of a carajillo. Cheers y’all!
