SEVEN SINS

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. rye whiskey

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. apple brandy

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. fresh lemon juice

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. grenadine

  • cinnamon to garnish

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / add ice and shake until chilled / strain into coupe or Nick and Nora / garnish with freshly grated cinnamon

ABOUT
This cocktail was created by John Coltharp, who took the classic Jack Rose, and split the apple brandy with rye whiskey. The addition of rye adds some spice which is further enhanced with the fresh cinnamon on the surface. You get bright notes of lemon and pomegranate, which pair well with the apple and spices.
