Single Village Fix

SINGLE VILLAGE FIX

  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml. mezcal

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. fresh lime juice

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. pineapple gum syrup

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / shake with ice until chilled / fine strain into coupe or Nick and Nora / garnish with pineapple frond (optional)

ABOUT
This drink is by Thad Vogler and was made for Beretta (San Francisco) in 2008. Mezcals are often know for their smoky notes, though many that come from single villages exhibit a fruitiness that reminded Vogler of pineapple. This naturally led him down the pineapple daiquiri route. The choice of mezcal will change the profile, so have fun with it. Cheers y’all!
