THE BUZZ

  • 1¼ oz. / 37.5 ml. tequila reposado

  • 1¼ oz. / 37.5 ml. coffee liqueur

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. dark crème de cacao (Tempus Fugit)

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. heavy cream

  • cocoa powder to garnish

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / add a small amount of crushed ice and whip shake / dump into glass / top with crushed or pebble ice / garnish with cocoa powder

This cocktail was created by John Stanton for Bar Clara at Hotel Per La (Los Angeles, CA). I stumbled across this decadent coffee cocktail on Imbibe, which posted about it in January 2024. Agave spirits and coffee are a wonderful combo. The chocolate is also a natural addition here, which is made more decadent with cream. You’ll be sipping every last drop of this one. Cheers y’all!
