TUXEDO #2

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml. gin

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. dry vermouth

  • ¼ oz. / 7.5 ml. maraschino liqueur

  • 3 dashes orange bitters

  • absinthe, to rinse

METHOD
add all ingredients to mixing glass / stir with ice until chilled / strain into a coupe or Nick and Nora that has been rinsed with absinthe / garnish with orange twist

ABOUT
This drink is named after the Tuxedo Club in New York. It is a version of the classic Tuxedo cocktail (first documented in 1900). This martini riff adds maraschino liqueur and a rinse of absinthe, which elevates the drink and brings balance. You'd want to sip this while wearing your finest attire. Cheers y’all!
