ZONIE LAND

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml. smoky scotch

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. Ancho Reyes chile liqueur

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. pineapple juice

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. fresh lime juice

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. orgeat

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml overproof aged rum, floated (optional)

  • nutmeg to garnish

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / add a small amount of crushed ice and shake until chilled / dirty dump into a tiki mug or glass / top with crushed or pebble ice / float overproof rum (optional) / garnish with mint bouquet after slapping it to express oils, pineapple fronds, and fresh nutmeg

ABOUT
This drink is by Elliott Clark (@apartment_bartender), and I found it in his book, “Let’s Do Drinks.” This one is named after what his college friends called the state of Arizona. I can’t say no to a whiskey tiki drink! Cheers y’all!
