DIVISION BELL

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. mezcal

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. Aperol

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. maraschino liqueur

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. fresh lime juice

  • grapefruit peel oil

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / shake with ice until chilled / fine strain into coupe or Nick and Nora / express grapefruit peel oil over surface / garnish with grapefruit twist (optional)

ABOUT
This modern classic by Phil Ward was created in 2009 at Mayahuel, an agave-centric bar in the East Village of New York (now closed). This is a slight twist on the famous Last Word; some may say it is like the Naked & Famous, though this predates the 2011 modern classic. Ward named this after the Pink Floyd album. Cheers y’all!
