Million Dollar Cocktail
MILLION DOLLAR COCKTAIL
2 oz. / 60 ml. gin
1 oz. / 30 ml. sweet vermouth
½ oz. / 15 ml. pineapple juice
¼ oz. / 7.5 ml. grenadine
1 fresh egg white or other foamer (e.g., aquafaba)
METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / shake without ice (“dry shake”) / add ice / shake until chilled / strain into a coupe or Nick and Nora / garnish with fresh or dehydrated pineapple
ABOUT
This cocktail has a unique history about when and where it was originated. To keep it simple, this was created in 1894 by the inventor of the Bamboo Cocktail (Louis Eppinger) at The Grand Hotel in Yokohama, Japan. This classic gin drink is frothy and smooth with subtle notes of pomegranate. Cheers y’all!
