Nuclear Daiquiri

NUCLEAR DAIQUIRI

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. white overproof rum

  • ⅔ oz. / 20 ml. Green Chartreuse

  • ⅓ oz. / 10 ml. falernum

  • ½ oz. / 15 ml. fresh lime juice

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / shake with ice until chilled / fine strain into coupe or Nick and Nora / garnish lime wheel (optional)

ABOUT
This cocktail was created in 2005 by Gregor de Gruyther at LAB Bar (London, England). John Garuku, bar manager at the time, says De Gruyther was looking to deepen the Daiquiri experience. Unfortunately, De Gruyther passed in 2009, but his cocktail lives on. I made one last night as I watched Oppenheimer sweep the Oscars. Cheers y’all!
