Orgeat Sour

ORGEAT SOUR

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. Jamaican rum

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml. rye whiskey

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. fresh lemon juice

  • ¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. orgeat

  • 2 dashes tiki bitters

  • 1 fresh egg white

  • nutmeg to garnish

METHOD
add all ingredients to shaker tin / shake without ice (“dry shake”) / add ice / shake until chilled / strain over a BFC in a rocks glass / garnish with nutmeg

ABOUT
This is a cocktail by my friend Isaiah LaBelle (@onesipclub). This split base sour uses almond syrup to sweeten it up. Jamaican rum has a nice funk that pairs well with the spice of rye. Tiki bitters can transform a cocktail and are worth getting. Nutmeg is an olfactory must. Cheers y’all!
