1 oz. / 30 ml. Campari
1 oz. / 30 ml. sweet vermouth
1½ oz. / 45 ml. cold brew
METHOD
add all ingredients to a glass / fill ⅔ with crushed or pebble ice / stir or swizzle to mix / top with more ice / garnish fresh or dehydrated orange slice
ABOUT
This version of the Americano was created by Ricky Gomez (owner of Palomar, Portland, OR) as a nod to the classic cocktail and the espresso drink of the same name. Instead of soda water, he uses cold brew alongside Campari and sweet vermouth. The result is a refreshing, low-ABV drink where the bitterness of the coffee and the herbal notes of the Campari shine.
